Our Programme

A two-year journey into environmental leadership

The Green Naze Curriculum is delivered inside Nigerian secondary schools — combining climate education, hands-on projects and SDG-aligned community action.

Section 1

The Green Naze Curriculum

A two-year environmental education programme delivered in secondary schools, structured around six core themes across Year 1 and Year 2.

Y1

Foundations

Environmental Awareness

Students learn how local ecosystems work, why they matter, and how everyday actions shape the environment around them.

Waste Management

Practical sessions on reducing, reusing and recycling — turning school waste audits into real reduction strategies.

Tree Planting

Hands-on planting drives that green school grounds and surrounding communities, with care plans students manage themselves.

Y2

Action

Climate Action

Understanding climate change in a Nigerian context and designing student-led responses that reduce emissions and build resilience.

Water Conservation

Water audits, rainwater harvesting and clean-water advocacy projects rooted in each school's local water reality.

Community SDG Projects

Capstone projects where students design and deliver SDG-aligned initiatives in their own communities, with seed funding from Green Naze.
